About Kipi Chubby

I have two cats, Kitty and Pitoco. This font is named after them, KiPi.

They're from Brazil, and my wife and I have had them for about 9 years. For 4 of those years they lived with my sister while we got settled in Ireland, and finally bringing them here to live with us again was one of the best days we've had. They're troublemakers who love a good mess, but also incredibly docile and gentle, and mostly just want to nap in a sunbeam. They're adventurous in their own small way and honestly make our days happier just by being around.

Kipi Chubby is that energy turned into a typeface: bold, round, and a little uneven on purpose, built for headlines, logos, and posters rather than long paragraphs. The letterforms lean playful and hand-made rather than templated.

It includes full uppercase, lowercase, numerals, punctuation, and complete Latin accent support, so it holds up in Portuguese as well as English, that part took a lot longer to get right than the shapes themselves.
